What's your guess on why I got so snappy with him?

Last night, I don't even know what started it but my boyfriend and I got into a tizzy. The general jist of it was him telling me that I need to just get a whatever, BS SOMETHING job that brings in money. I said, "ok then I saw an ad for adult entertainers, should I take that? I'm sure I'll make lots of money in one night!" I mean I wouldn't really do that I was trying to make a point....I'm at the age where I can't be job hopping, and I don't have time to waste at a job that isn't going to help me move forward in life. Anyway I got snappy, why do you suppose that is? Could it just be stress mixed with he has a point mixed with I don't know what to do?!!? Because I haven't been sitting around, I've tried so many places and no one calls me back or even gives me an interview.
