Another children's book title!?

this book i also read in middle school. about some sort of futuristic sci fi world, where everything is controlled by a certain group of people... everything is decided for everyone, profession, future spouse, children, etc. everyone has a job, a role in this society. almost like a brainwashed community. the main character is a boy in one of these families. help! what book is this?
