What will happen to our campus computer lab?

First of all, a virus won't destroy a computer "inside and out". The very worst thing a virus could do is mangle the OS so bad that it has to be reloaded from scratch, but the hardware would still be fine. Frankly, there's no way a computer in a public location like a library should be able to access a website that infects it with a virus, and if their security is so bad that the virus can spread across the network.. well, then they deserve whatever they've got coming.
