Trying to understand goth music?

BVB, BMTH, and BFMV are pretty much as far from goth as you can get. Start out with Bauhaus, Siouxie And The Banshees, Bella Morte, Alien Fiend, The Cure, and Sisters of Mercy. Then maybe check out some Goth Metal bads like Type O Negative, Ministry, Moonspell, and Poisonblack. Hope this helps.
